Last night I had the blessing of being the guest of one my wife’s AG classes through the junior college in Athens, Texas. A class of approximately nine with my wife and I attended a seminar on the proper feeding of horses on Dr. Hick’s farm in Palestine, Texas. Without a doubt, Dr. Hicks is truly one of the finest vets I have ever met in my life. Following is an article about him and his long history as a vet. Click the following link for his full story: Hicks knows horses: Longtime veterinarian specializes in horse medicine. A picture of my wife, Linda with Dr. Hicks will be forthcoming. Linda is currently in the mist of a full semester of two AG courses through the college and another winery on-line course, part II of a five-part course through the UC of Davis out of California. Knowledge is power when it comes to our forthcoming winery and vineyard in this part of East Texas.
Reblogged this on Texas Poetry and commented:

A Belated Thank you for the comment posting. Page 26 of my “Honey-Do List” has kept me busy and has kept me from keeping this blog up to date lately. Will try and do better.

First off I would like to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and
clear your head prior to writing. I’ve had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however
it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted
just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
Cheers!

I place my mind in the hands of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I ask him to help me relate in my poetry writing, something in words and feelings that will help others.
